The suction catheter is a single-use sterile device that is designed to safely remove secretions from the airway in order to have clear airway breathing. The softer material is medical-grade and will have less impact on delicate mucosal surfaces but still allows for flexibility to enter the airway. The distal tip and lateral eyes are smooth and rounded to maximize the suctioning effect while limiting trauma to the tissue. They come in a variety of sizes to fit any type of standard suction equipment in the hospital, emergency medicine, and home healthcare environments. The suction catheter is sterile and nontoxic to support effective airway management, patient comfort, and safety.
