It features a Teflon or polyurethane catheter over a sharp introducer needle with an integrated safety mechanism to prevent needle-stick injuries. The per-attached flexible extension tube reduces insertion-site tension, dislodgement risk, and microbial contamination and improves patient comfort and safety during intravenous therapy.
